What are some of the evening activities?

Each evening at camp we have special activities planned for you.  Some weeks these activities depend on the theme for that week.  For example, during Christmas week you're bound to have a Christmas party with gifts for everyone!  Other activities, like Little Olympicbandit brothers, happen every week.  

Monday evening activities include the famous Camp Lawrence Gold Rush.  You and rest of your group race across the grounds of camp looking for "Gold".  But watch out!  The Bandit Brothers and Kissing Sisters are out there too...and if they catch you will try to take your Gold!  Other times on Monday we have Staff Hunt.  This is when the activity staff dresses up in all kinds of strange costumes and then hide, we then go searching all over the campground looking for them. When we find one, we have to guess who it is.  But you never know what other games and activities the staff will have dreamed up!

Little Olympics is a Camp Lawrence classic.  Every Tuesday evening, we all gather together to compete for prizes.  Some of the contests include three legged races, pudding eating contest, water balloon toss, relay races and more.  You're bound to have fun and win yourself a ribbon.

Wednesday evening is different from the other nights.  After flag lowering, we get our picture taken all together.  Your mom or dad can buy you a copy of the Camp Picture when they pick you up on Saturday.  Next, we have Mass.  Sometimes the Bishop even shows up to celebrate the Mass with us! After Mass, everyone gathers down by waterfront for a hot dog cookout.  A good time is had by all.  Finally, we  meet in the cafeteria for a movie.  

Thursday evening is different from week to week.  Sometimes we might have a talent show, other times a special party is planned.  Just come to camp and see what they have come up with for you!

Friday Evening 
This evening is always very special.  After dinner, we get our faces painted up like Indian Warriors.  Then we gather for the end of the week Candle Light Mass.  During Mass we all have our own candle to show the light of Christ shinning in us.   Father gives us a fun and interesting homily and we all sing the songs we learned at Morning Liturgy.  After Mass we go on a night hike through the woods so be sure to bring your flashlight.  At the end of the hike, we gather around a campfire for the story of Chief Moss Moss.  You never know what might happen during that story!  Finally, we all sing camp songs and make our way back to the cabin.
